Answers
- D&G's trousers are picture four. One is a typical bed spread-style quilt; two a duvet dress from 2000, and four is Ugly Betty star America Ferrera's quilted overcoat... upside-down.
- It's 1958 - when, in the second quarter, growth registered -2.6%. A year earlier, the British prime minister Harold Macmillan said: "most of our people have never had it so good".
- It's the word "faithfully". As Chief Justice Roberts read out the oath for Mr Obama to repeat, he moved it to the end of the phrase. So instead of "... I will faithfully execute the office of president...", he said "I will execute the office of president of the United States faithfully".
- Alexander Lebedev, now a billionaire, says his job in London was to look for information that may be of use. "I had to read every newspaper. I was there for that. I had to read the FT, the Guardian, Standard and the Daily Mail."
- The eponymous hero comes from the pen of F Scott Fitzgerald.
- It's "Sachs". Russell Brand has begun a stand-up tour, much of which is on the furore over his lewd phone calls to Andrew Sachs. Meanwhile, fellow prank-caller Jonathan Ross returns to the BBC on Friday after his three-month suspension.
- It still belongs to the original owners, and council workers are busy salvaging it to prevent scavenging. Any members of the public who do retrieve sawn timber from the coastline are expected to report it to the Receiver of Wreck, who liaises with the owners.
